About Us
Project Firstline is CDC’s national training collaborative for healthcare infection control. Learn more about the national initiatives.
In California, Project Firstline focuses specifically on Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) and Environmental Services (EVS) staff in skilled nursing facilities (SNF). In coordination with public health infection prevention partners, Project Firstline offers competency-based health education and training, and support for facility educators.
The HAI Program in the California Department of Public Health Center for Health Care Quality oversees the prevention, surveillance, and reporting of HAI and antimicrobial resistance in California’s hospitals and other healthcare facilities.
