Occupational Health Watch: June 2022
New Long COVID and Workers Webpage
COVID-19 continues to impact workers and their families. Most people recover from COVID-19 within a few days or weeks, but some experience new, returning, or ongoing symptoms and health problems after a COVID-19 infection. This is referred to as
long COVID or also known as post-COVID conditions. Long COVID is considered a
disability under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
The Occupational Health Branch's
new webpage highlights long COVID and how it can impact workers. The web page includes information about requesting work accommodations, long COVID prevention, and support groups, as well as answers to frequently asked questions and more.
Please check out the webpage and share it with your networks. Also, our new COVID-19 workplace media and graphics about long COVID and other topics will be available on our
worker tools web page in summer 2022.
