Valley Fever in California Year-end Data Dashboard
This dashboard provides an overview of year-end surveillance data for Valley fever (coccidioidomycosis or “cocci”) in California from 2001–2023. For an overview of data inclusion/exclusion criteria for this dashboard, please see the Technical Notes.

Dashboard Instructions
- The landing page shows a minimized view of each figure. Click on a figure’s title to see an expanded view.
- Hover over data points in the figures to see additional details, including year information, case counts, and/or rates.
- After viewing a specific figure, navigate back to the main landing page by selecting “Back to Dashboard” at the top left corner of the dashboard.
- To view a summary of data from any figure, select a figure and click the download icon at the bottom right of the dashboard.
Then select “Data” to view the data summary.
Dashboard Data Notes
- Rates are expressed as the number of cases per 100,000 people in California.
- Potentially unreliable rates are noted with an asterisk (*).
- Due to delays inherent to case reporting, laboratory reporting, and epidemiologic investigation, data for this dashboard are available only through the latest year with finalized data (2023).
